A Snowy Sickness

Hey y'all!! I am totally behind in the blogging world. I have been sick since Wednesday night (fever, vomiting, etc...yuck!) and have literally not gotten out of bed until just now. Thankfully, my hubby was able to be home last night and he took great care of me. I am feeling much better today, after sleeping for 20 of the last 24 hours. : ) I woke up to a winter wonderland (for Louisiana). Since we rarely get snow, I had to immediately jump up and take pictures. For all y'all Yankees, this will look like nothing! I promise though, for us it's like getting 10 inches of snow!! My hubby (aka my "mom") refused to let me go play outside since I was sick, but he did let me take a few pictures!

Looking out the front door.

Down the street.

Our house.

The babies had SO much fun playing outside.

Diesel kept trying to eat the snow.

The snow made them frisky!

Diesel bunny.

Cashie bunny looking a little guilty.

Hubby trying to scrape his windshield. With what, you ask? A Home Depot gift card.

Time for hubby to go to work.

Hubby has banished me from leaving the house because of the roads.

This was my pouty face because I wanted to go get a diet coke! Apparently, hubby does not cave to pouty faces. (Please excuse the no makeup/crazy hair look, I have been sick, remember?)

Now, we are snuggled up by the heater, watching Lifetime.

I'm feeling MUCH better. Even though I'd love to have a huge diet coke right now, I'm loving being curled up with my bunnies by the heater. : ) Please say a prayer of safety for my hubby! He will be at work tonight and our roads are terrible right now. Imagine trying to drive a huge firetruck on icy, snowy, slick roads! Definitely not safe!

In other news, I got my prize from Leslie's giveaway! It was wrapped up SO precious and it smells divine! It definitely got used during this sickness (TMI?). Perfect timing! : )

I am guest blogging today at Rachel's blog, A Life So Lovely. Her blog is fantastic. Please go check it out and let me know what you think!

Hope everyone has a great day today and a fabulous weekend!!!

Love, love!!

i hope you are feeling better love!

that's so cute that your man took such great care of you and didnt let you leave the house cuz of the cold! haha i love that!

and yeah that snow is like a DUSTING compared to what we have up here in Bawwwston! But i feel ya! it must be weird getting snow somewhere that it's uncommon! our snow is piled sooo high that it's like a hazard to try and get onto a highway..cant even see behind the snow banks! so i kinda just close my eyes and scream as i drive onto the highway hoping i make it hahah

xoxoxox happy weekend!

Take it easy–drink lots of tea or hot cocoa or whatever it is you like (not diet coke:) and curl up and watch movies and take advantage of down time :)

My hubby banned me from the roads too! He said he sees too many wrecks each day on shift, to just let me go drive around. Thus, I was stuck inside for FOUR days.

My hubby has been on shift for 3 of those 4 days...thus, the life of a firefighter right?

Sickness sucks. I'm glad you are now on the mend.
Your street looks wonderful, with that sprinkling of snow. I love your street lamps. So pretty. Your neighbours roof looks very high and a bit strange, to what I am used to seeing here...but it does look lovely. What a beautiful neighbourhood!
You ARE a very lucky girl, living with your super hero and those fun 'fur people'!

Sorry I have been out of the blogosphere for awhile too, Ok got a blizzard compared to LA's little dusting!

My husband would so love your husbands jeep!
& I love your doggies, The pit is so precious and he has an awesome name to go along with him. Diesel is pretty cool!

Hopefully you are all better now!

I have a question, I have only gotten a flu shot once in my life. Now that I am going to be doing clinicals right smack dab in the middle of flu season should I get a shot? I am nervous about getting one for some reason {I am not scared of shots either} I just really can't afford getting the flu and being out of school for so long!
