An Egg-cellent Day

Is it just me or do holidays make y'all want a baby even more??

It's just me? Okay. Just had to get that off my chest.

We had a wonderful Easter surrounded by family. We are so lucky because the husband's parents live in town and most of my family lives in town...which means that my parents come here for every single holiday. So we always get to spend time with both sides of the family on holidays. No arguing over which set we are going to see! : ) We went to church this morning with my mother-in-law and then headed over to my aunt's house for Easter lunch. My parents, my brother, and my sister all came up and it was absolutely fabulous to see them! (My sister is getting married exactly two months from today!! Hooray!)

I am sad to report that I did not get any amazing outfit pictures. Within five seconds of getting home from church, husband had managed to change into jeans and a t-shirt. It's funny how men move quickly when it's stuff like that. Am I right? : )

We spent the day eating (ham, roast, mashed potatoes, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, green beans, pineapple pie, banana pudding pie, cupcakes, and sugar cookies), catching up, and hunting for Easter eggs.

Easter egg hunt.

Doesn't it sometimes seem like the adults are more into it than the kids?? ; )

My crazy mother on the scooter. She just makes life more fun.

Nappy nap time.

My "soon-to-be a Mrs" sister!

My Easter basket from my mom...it's a picnic basket!

Picture 1 of husband and I.

Picture 2. #somuchforholidaypictures

This is not dog abuse. This is "trying to take a picture and not get licked in the face."

See above comment.

Happy Easter from the Mackey clan!! : ) Hope y'all had a wonderful day as well!

Thank goodness that we have a resurrection to celebrate!

"Living He loved me, Dying He saved me."

Love, love!

It sounds like you had an excellent weekend with amazing family! :) Your Easter basket is so thoughtful! I am so glad my parents still do that for my sister and I...you're never too old! haha

Kurt dresses up for work every day in button up shirts and nice pants, and literally we aren't home for 5 minutes and he already has everything off and sweatpants on! It must be a man thing. I hate that though when you want to take a cute pic and they're already changed! haha

adorable pics! looks like you all had such an awesome day!

And ya know Megan, you are in total control of that "wanting a baby thing" .... but then again, I won't put any pressure on ya, I know you haven't even been married a year :)

and your mom on the scooter. Now I know why I like you so much and why you are totally awesome. ;-)

If I had a dollar for every picture I tried to take with my pups and ended up looking like those...I'd be rich :) And girl, you are DEFINITELY not alone with the baby thing. Holidays totally make my baby fever spike! :)

That's pretty much the only time they move quickly! lol As soon as my husband gets home his dress clothes are on the kitchen table! So annoying!

Aww that was sweet of your mom...picnic basket is such a cute idea! What all did you get in there? Looks like some great stuff. I love the pics you "tried" to take with the dogs! So funny! My dogs (moms dogs) always look so sad in pictures when I try to hold their head and get in a pic with me! lol

Yes, Holidays always make me want a baby. I don't know what it is about them-maybe because they're sentimental and there's nothing like experiencing a holiday through a child's eyes. Glad y'all had a wonderful Easter! Love all the pictures :) xoxo

DANG! You guys go all out for Easter!!! Glad you had sucha fun day. Especially with such delicious food. We had it at my brothers and they made Mexican food. Although it was delicious, I feel cheated out of my ham and mashed potatoes. Also, YES we can be BFFs. I agree. Let's spit in our hands to make this official!

Hola!

I loved how "difficult" the egg hunt looked with ALL those big bushes and trees EVERYWHERE! ;) Lol. Gotta make do with what you have, right? :)

I totally know what you mean about the guys changing as soon as they get home. What is up with that? If I take the time to get all dolled up, you better believe I'm going to stay that way as long as possible. (I did take off my heels, though. ;)

Nice to "see" you!
