Treats and Friends

It's time to recap the next part of Michaela's trip to Louisiana!

After spending all day shopping and running down the highway (see yesterday's post), we decided to bake some goodies for my husband and the guys at his fire station. They always appreciate a treat!

I made a tried and true favorite, Oreo Cookie Cake. Michaela made the most amazing chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. A little piece of cupcake and a little piece of cookie = a big piece of heaven.

Once the boys were fed and happy, the hubs showed Michaela around the station.

Sliding down a pole is not nearly as easy as you think. Or maybe some of y'all already know that. ; )

Two people that I love more than anything.

The next morning, we got up early to head down to Pineville to meet up with my college best friend, Melissa

These bunnies sure were sad to see her go.

We met at our old college and showed her around. It was so neat to have her there, in a place that was so meaningful to me. After that, we hit up our favorite Mexican restaurant and a little frozen yogurt.

Standing in my old dorm room, which just so happened to be empty. Fate?

My beautiful friend and her sweet babies.

Hubby loves girl days. : )

Rumor around campus was that if you sat on this swing with a boy, you'd marry him. #itwasfalsethankfully

Playing in the fountain on campus.

No, I'm not pregnant, it's the dress. : )

Basically all the pictures from this trip are taken by Michaela. She rocks.

This sounds so cheesy, but I feel like I lost a little piece of me when she went back home. After hanging out 24/7 for four days, we were like sisters!! The only good thing...is that we are already planning my trip to Seattle!

Love, love!

That oreo cookie cake looks delicious! Sorry to here about your camera, even though it provided most of your readers a good laugh! :)

Looks like great fun! Aside from the part about breaking your camera though, that doesn't sound like fun at all. Boooo. :(

LOL at the photos of sliding down the pole. I am impressed you both managed to do it in dresses! I am sure that if I tried that it would have surely ended in a very UNladylike way!

I'm so glad you had a great time with her. It sure looks like it.

In college, if we saw a couple walking down a certain path, it was believed they would marry. Thank the good Lord that didn't come true. bleh!!
