My husband is active. I am lazy. This is nothing new.
A typical night at our house includes me blogging, texting, reading, and trying to snuggle with him...while he comes up with the most random things to do to entertain himself. See below.
That would be him with knives and blowing a duck call to excite the puppies.
A Southern boy's necessities.
Intellectual reading material.
Stirring all the puppies up.
This is probably their favorite thing ever...when daddy gets on the floor to play.
Shout out to my sweet baby girl and the one trick that she knows: shake.
Anyone else have a crazy interesting husband/roomie/parent? Surely it can't just be me. : )
Love, love!
PS: No animals were harmed in the making of this blog post.

Cute! I'm totally NOT a fan of large dogs, but I bet if I had one I could be won over. :P
Hmm, crazies that I know...
Well! Thankfully this person is not my husband/housemate/parent, but in terms of being a complete nutcase, he takes the cake! Fortunately I have not seem him recently, although, now I have said that...

We play "Ghost Slider" where we hold up a big blanket and our dog Slider runs into it and rolls around like crazy and sometimes he gets caught in it and tries to walk around and he sometimes runs into the table if we're not watching him (it's kinda sad but he doesn't hurt himself!) but he loves it and gets so excited when we yell "GHOST SLIDERRRR!!!!" at him :)
his southern man essentials crack me up. and the reading material too. JB gets soooo excited when his florida sportsman comes in the mail. and his essentials look eerily similar (: boys. they make funny roommates!
I love that no animals were harmed in the making of this blog post! My husband can't sit still either and I could sit all.day.long! He, the kids and the dogs get on the floor to wrestle and will do it until someone gets hurt... which always happens :)
Haha~looks like my hubs with our pups!! Whether it's a turkey or deer call...they go nuts! Men & their toys. Mine's actually out bow hunting deer for the first time this season! New follower... Jenn :D
Oh my goodness! This post describes Josh and I to a "t"! I would much rather lay around snuggling/reading/playing on the computer... but with Josh he gets bored easily haha. I LOVE your pups..they are too cute! Great post girl!
Chad does weird things while I text, tweet and blog from the comfort of a blanket with my glass of wine
LOL!!! My hubby is just like this! :) loves to wind up the kiddos and our dog.
It's either a Justin thing (ha!! I love that we can share that joke!) or it's just an overall male weirdo thing.
My J does this, too. Minus the duck whistle (hilarious...only b/c it's not my house. I think that would annoy me to no end!!!!!)
Sasha loves when Justin is crazy on the floor with her. Honestly, even though having her is a lot more work (um...mostly for moi), having her has been really good for him! It's like a stress reliever for him to just be silly and boy-like. The first night I saw him like that after we brought her home, it was totally hot. Haha! It's like all the stress from work went out the window and he could just relax.
Anyway...this post was hilarious...as usual. You two are ca-razy! Okay. Maybe just the hub. ;)
P.S. My J is crazy with the kids, too. And usually around bedtime AFTER I've tucked them in, prayed with them and they're all nice and calm. He decides it's tickle time. Ugh! I tell him it's his job to get them settled again b/c I am NOT going back in there! Ha! Just wait...your J will be the same! Watch! Lol!
your dogs are too adorable! i love big dogs...i have to abnormally large golden retrievers...
If I'm not running, I'm super lazy. I love to sit around and read/blog/text/watch tv. He wants to be out alllll the time!
haha i love the arm chair FULL of man accessories! gotta love it.
"just is active. i am lazy. this i nothing new." haha i love you.
our dogs used to LOVE when my dad would get on the floor to play....so cute!
hahaha, i love this! this is exactly how hubby would be if we ever got a dog ... poor cat has to be treated like a dog until then, haha.
Girl, you have your hands full! They are all so sweet :) I love nights home like that!
Too funny! My fiance is the same way with our dog. He's always wrestling and running around with her inside. It's like a zoo!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA - your disclaimer just made me laugh out loud! Too funny!
That's me with our dog - but we have one and he's 9 pounds... I'm always trying to rile him up and tell him to "go give daddy kisses" - the hubs loves it (well not really)! :)
Hope y'all had a good weekend! XOXO, Stephanie
O no this totally sounds very similar!
Aww, Oreo needs a brother or sister doggie! I am always trying to convince my husband of this, but he doesn't want to add a second pet right now. Granted, I think once I had a second, I'd probably try to convince him that we needed a third. I just get so sad every time I see poor doggies that need a home! haha! Anyway, looks like a fun night at home! :)
Too stinkin cute! You're dogs make mine look teeeeeny!
But one is 10lbs so that doesn't take much effort :)
Looks like an awesome night to me
Ha yes! It's a man thing! If my husband gets anything remotely huntingish out the dogs are all over it. Don't you love duck & goose season getting to hear them practice their calls? Haha!! Otherwise Sophie lays near my feet and Jake lays near Mike's just wishing we'd quit doing school work.
Megan, this is such a cute post. I didn't know that you had so many dogs- talk about full house. To answer your question, I do live in a crazy house surrounded by penises (seriously, i have my husband and two little boys- every 2nd sentence out of my mouth is 'get your hand out of your pants'). Thanks for sharing a bit of your night with us :)
Cash doesn't just know the trick "shake"...it's ALL SHE EVER DOES. She never stops shaking. Such a friendly girl (:
Watching him rile up the pups is the best entertainment.
And Megan readers...want to know what she does while she's sitting in her recliner?? Rocks back and forth at a very fast speed. #secretteller
Your house looks like an eventful place:) Fun doggies and fun hubby:). Love the duck call!
These pictures are so funny!! My husband does a lot of the same things. He plays football with our lab just about every single night. So hilarious!! :)
bahahaha. boys are so silly. i wish i had as many puppies as you!
ps- i just unfollowed and refollowed because your last few posts didnt show up in my reader. they are there now though. weird.
lol We have the opposite problem. I'm always the one hyper wanting to do something and my husband wants to just sit and relax and wind down for the night.
This is too cute Megan! :) I feel ya... my husband always finds something to do!!! lol! Love it!
LOVE THIS POST!! My lover is a Southerrrrrn Man, too! I am literally in the same boat as you girl:)
Oh my goodness, your dogs are SO cute! When I was a kid, my dad used to always use his duck caller to rile up the dogs too, haha.
Haha...Don't you just love duck/turkey calls? Those things make me NUTS! I think my hubby just likes to annoy me when he "practices" them inside. But you gotta love those country boys anyways! :)
Your husband and mine could by best friends...he does the same dang thing with our dog. I swear that's why she's nuts!
I won't even START on my craazy roommate. I want to write about it..but I can't because she reads my blog and it might be awkward. Hmmmm.... Let's just say... she has a lot of male suitors. :) Goodnight!
Sabrina Says
Aw your pit pup is handsome! Sir only knows shake too...well sit & shake but that's it
Awe, I just love the dogs! I wish I could say I was home to be with my hubs every night but class takes over my nights so I'm not sure what happens while I'm gone :)
Haha! You are NOT alone. Randy does the same thing to Avery. Especially the closer hunting season gets, it gets done even more!
He is constantly stirring him up with duck calls and hunting shows on TV...that have duck calls also. Lol
Your doggies are SOOO adorable! :)
I want to come hang out with you, the hubs and the pups. Right. Now!
