Blog Sentiments

A few days ago, I got a package in the mail from one of my sweet blog friends, Fran

I have gotten several packages/cards from blog friends in the last month since I wrote about our miscarriage, and each one has really blessed me and encouraged me. In her card, Fran wrote some of the most precious words to me and I just started crying, thinking about how all of these friendships have come about through blogging.

When I started blogging two years ago, I had no idea what would come from it. I really was just doing it to have a type of "diary" where I could document our engagement and the wedding planning process. I never thought it would grow to become a passion and a source of friendship.

Even though I didn't know what I would gain from blogging, I know that God did. He knew when I started my blog two years ago that I would go through this miscarriage and that I would need y'all to help me get through it. He knew that I would get love and support from y'all. It's really mind-blowing if you start to think about it in depth.

Everything that happens in this life, God knows about beforehand. He is never surprised, never shocked, never unprepared. In fact, He is always prepared and has already set things up to help us get through whatever life has thrown our way.

I feel like I can't really get my thoughts out clearly today, but I just wanted to basically say: trust in the Lord and thank y'all. So much. I appreciate every comment, every email and every card/package.

That package just looks lovely!! I'm so glad to hear you've had a wonderful support system through all of this :) I, too, was humbled by the generosity, packages, and cards that I received from bloggers after my mom's death. This is such an amazing community.

I also loved what you said about how God is prepared for everything that happens and He sets things up to help us through the difficult times. That is SO true and so beautiful :) Still praying for you, my friend! You are one strong woman! xoxo

God really is amazing, isn't He?! When I think back on certain situations in my life that have happened where I may have questioned it at the time, I fully understand now what God's intent was. Everything happens for a reason! I believe that certain people are sent to be in our lives to help us become closer to Him as well.

I love this blog family because everyone is so supportive and here for each other! :)

I totally get what you mean about not expecting to make friends from blogging. It's an interesting relatinship since we come into it so use to forming face to face connection but end up making very close bonds regardless.

Megan-

If I could reach out through the screen and give you a bear hug, I would. But alas... all I have to offer are my thoughts, my sympathy, and well wishes. Just know that it will get better, and you and your hub will learn things about yourself through this that you would never have otherwise learned. Stay strong, girlfriend! Thinking about you!

PS- That Sugar Blossom candle will cure all that ails you. It's amazing... and you will be addicted.

You are so right. It is awesome that you are allowing your heart to stay open for all that God has to show you and teach you through this experience...and that you are sharing it with others. We are all blessed to "know" you! :)

I so agree that God truly does know. And sometimes it takes me until after going through something, to realize His plan in all of it. But I smile after, knowing that His plans are good and right for me and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Trust in the Lord. Oh, how it has been a struggle. Thanks for the reminder, Meg.

The diary, the friendships, the comfort we get from blogging is amazing!! But think of all yhe missionary opportunities you have as well! Your faith in God is amazing! One could lose faith and be so angry at the Lord because of losing your sweet baby. But you lean on him more than ever. You're inspiring!
