I Need a Personal Chef

Confession time: It's been awhile since I've cooked.

And by awhile I would say...two weeks. Cue shame. But I'm dedicated to getting back into the meal planning game, especially with my dad's heart stuff going on. I told him that I'd use Pinterest to help him find some new and healthy meals...and now I'm hungry...and I've decided that I could eat healthy if I had a personal chef to do it all and just present me with the finished product.

I need to make a lot more money off this blog if that's going to happen.

Or one of y'all could just come live with us and cook in exchange for free housing. Apply for said position through email. Be ready to make dishes like this:

Sweet potato veggie burger via

Grilled zucchini pizza via

Pineapple shrimp fried rice via

Skinny buffalo burger quesadilla via

Southwestern stuffed sweet potatoes via

Pineapple bliss cupcakes via

Greek yogurt chocolate cake via

Is anyone else starving yet?

I'm linking up with the adorable (and newly pregnant!) Michelle. Go congratulate her!

Me! I'll be your personal chef! Actually ... I've always wanted to be a chef ... and meet you, so that works out pretty nicely! :) Love you!

Umm... I haven't cooked in over a week. OK Almost two weeks whatever. Let me know who makes your final three maybe I can hire your rejects. Or I guess I could go on pintrest and repin those things myself.

YOU can make all of those things. I know you can!! We look forward to reading about it and seeing pictures of all of the new healthy meals that you are going to prepare and also hearing about your dad's recovery.

You're not alone on the "haven't cooked in 2 weeks" wagon. I'm right there with you!

But, I've also been using Pinterest for healthy meal planning for next week. Best of luck to you! :)

Can I get a personal chef too? I was doing so well with cooking every night and now I'm not cooking at all. It's too much work! These recipes look amazing by the way.

Those recipes look delicious. They'd look even better if someone else did the shopping, prep, cooking and clean up. I just don't have the time or energy. Campbell's is my personal chef tonight!

So...what exactly do you eat for two weeks if you don't cook? (I hope this doesn't sound rude...I'm just trying to wrap my mind around this!) We're going up to visit family for 2 weeks in between moving out of KY and moving to Boston and I am really looking forward to a cooking break. And some of my Momma's cooking :-)

I consider Dean my personal chef but the only problem is he's a coon ass & everything involves a roux or gravy. Not healthy!

I have a couple of ideas for you...just beware that they won't be as delicious as those pins. ;) I've been doing a lot of stir-fry recently. Get some brown minute rice = microwave. Buy some frozen diced chicken, which requires no thawing or dicing yourself (!), and buy some bell peppers, onion, mushrooms...whatever. OR buy some frozen stir-fry veggies. Throw it all in the skillet and BOOM, easy peasy. ;) It's actually quite good and I have also made it and put it over whole wheat pasta.

Also, if you like fish...Target (and probably Wal-M) has frozen tilapia (comes in a big bag like chicken breasts) and it is REALLY good. Thaw in some water, put a little olive oil and then Old Bay seasoning on top, and bake. Pair with frozen veggies, rice, salad, etc.

Desserts around here often = plain greek yogurt with (lots of) honey. Hubby LOVES it. Or strawberries with splenda or sugar-free cool whip (it's as good as the real deal...no really!).

Good luck! ;)

It might be December before I start cooking again. Menu for one is no fun :( However, I am going to have to pin a few of these for when Will does come home!
