The hubs and I had the whole weekend off together. I'm talking the WHOLE weekend, people...all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And I'm happy to report that we are both still alive and still love each other. : ) We spent a lot of time sleeping in later than normal, snuggling with his new fish pillow (you know what I'm talking about if you follow me on Instagram!), eating as much as we could without puking and getting our house prepped to sell in a few months. Or really just he did that last part while I watched tv. My husband is a keeper.
Sunday was a pretty perfect day full of church, good eating, a random afternoon nap (which we never ever do) and a little shopping trip of the husband's choosing. He's such a country boy.
Random side note: I had NO idea how much "real" cowboy hats cost. No thank you.

He sure did want one of those cowboy hats, but thankfully he listened to his voice of reason (aka me!) and decided to walk away without one. And that $80 sure does look pretty still in our checking account. He's more of a "hunter" than a "cowboy" anyway.
Every man needs a voice of reason. : )

Yes, cowboy hats are ridiculous in prices!! It's crazy! My hubby has one, & has had the same one for I don't know how many years now!
Oh my gosh, that is so funny! Matt and I were at Tractor Supply over the weekend and he was trying on those exact cowboy hats! It was really funny. I told him not to buy one too! lol. He's definitely not a cowboy!!

haha, but at least if you take care of the cowboy hats they last forever! I've had my straw hat since the 90's and my black felt hat since 2007 and my Silverbelly (white) felt hat since oh the mid 90's. All are still in great shape and they've even been kicked by cows :)
Aren't those weekends nice?? I've gotten SUPER spoiled in the past 2 months or so. Josh has been doing swaps or taking annual leave on the weekends that he has to work either Sat or Sun and the other weekends he's off both days. Now it's back to his regular schedule of only having one day off. :-(

Sometimes I have to save my husband from himself too. Otherwise we would definitely have 'lost' the complete collection on blu ray. Maybe the real cowboy hat for his birthday? I'm glad you slept in and had some naps. I had two myself this weekend. Happiness is!!

Oh man how hard did I laugh when I saw that pillow? At first I thought it was one of those wall plaque things that sings and dances when it detects someone walking by (they frighten the life out of me in shops!). But no - somehow a giant pillow is even funnier!

How on earth did I miss that pillow?!?!??! Hilarious. I hope you keep it on your bed FOREVER. Mike & I had the weekend together too, and we too are still alive & married. hahaha. I think he should have gotten the hat, and then you make him wear it alllll time since he wasted all that money.
