My friend Kay had her gender reveal party this past weekend and it was so much fun.
Looks like a balloon release...right? Wrong.

They tricked everyone and dumped out a bunch of colorful balloons for us to pop. There were pieces of paper inside the balloons and one said the gender!

And...it's a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to meet that sweet little man...and find out whether our babies will be best friends or a couple. Arranged marriage, maybe? ; )
I added a poll on my sidebar under my picture...tell us whether you think sweet baby bunny is a boy or a girl. We find out in 3 days and our party is in 4 days. Woohoo!

Oh, I hope hope hope you have a girl!! I only know of ONE girl coming out of all of the bloggers and friends I know that are pregnant! Our boys need girls!! lol

When I have a baby I want to keep it a surprise, but these parties look like so much fun that it kind of makes me change my mind a little bit!
I saw a blog of one gender reveal where even the parents didn't know what it was. They had some other person find out and they had a blue and a pink cake and took the wrong one away. So everyone found out when they cut the cake. Very exciting! (Except they were finding out they were having boy #4...)

What an awesome idea!!! I love it!! :) I saw one online where the couple had their appointment on Friday then went away for the weekend and had their parents paint the room pink or blue. When they came home on Sunday they opened it to see what the color was. I'm wayyyy too impatient to wait that long! And my mom could never keep the secret for 2 days! ;)
i love gender reveal parties! i hope to do one in the future! i just hope i can keep it in long enough to actually throw the party, hehe.

the balloon idea is such a cute reveal! I'm excited to hear what you're having AND how you reveal! we revealed with cupcakes I made with blue icing in the middles. I posted a poll on our blog too! ;) I so voted boy for you!! I have two boys so naturally I have to be pro-boy! but almost everyone that's pregnant I know is having a girl and I am loving it! I have baby girl fever. shhh!! don't tell my firefighter ;)
